    The next toolbox course at Dhurii is for Jazz and Urban techniques. Toolbox 2.0 is a 3 month intensive with over 100 hours of training suited to the needs and aspirations of working professionals, college students and aspiring dancers wishing to go deeper in their techniques for jazz, funk and urban.

    We have the best faculty from across the country who are coming to teach in Toolbox 2.0. Scroll down to see teacher profiles. Each teacher will handle 12-16 hours of classes cover their curriculum at a stretch.

  • Batches

    The course runs from 8 July to 29 September 2018 and the batch timings are – 8pm to 10pm on Fridays and 4pm to 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays – a total of 8 hours every week.

Teachers

Aastha Gulati

Aastha is a professional dancer-choreographer since 2000 and is a versatile dancer having learnt various styles including Kathak, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical Jazz, Latin and Belly dance. She has traveled far and wide to places like Broadway Dance Centre, New York, to Thailand integro 2016 for 30 days for flying low and passing through training with David Zambrano, to Edinburgh to train under Tess Letham and under Cristina in dance Italia for one week. She has since choreographed, performed and taught widely across a wide variety of prominent organisations, stages and countries.

She collates technique with a lot of narrative, expression and experimental movement. Contemporary technique, floor work, cathartic movement etc remain a favorite of hers and her classes will center around them.

Junaid Shariff

Junaid is one of the most gifted yet hardworkin talent in Indian Dance fraternity. He is capableof moulding himself into any dance forms and carriers a professional experience of 6 years in dancing.

He started his journey at Attakalari center of movement and art and HipPop India. Later on he joined other professional companies to expand his teaching skillset. He also worked as dancer/choreographer in kannada Film Industry. Adding feather to his cap, Junaid got Shortlisted for Dancing star season 2 and Bindass Naach to showcase his talent on National Television. He was also an integral part of DESI HOPPERS Crew who won first place at World of Dance 2015. He also been a collaborative part of Nritya Shakati Tour workshop 2016 and 2017.

Junaid is adept in urban and contemporary dance forms and has been shapening his skillset under the guidance of many nationals and International artists since years together.

Manisha Agarwal

Manisha Agarwal has been dancing professionally for about 8 years. Ever since training extensively in various dance forms from few of the best dance schools around the world, namely Broadway Dance Center, Movement Lifestyle, Millennium Dance Complex, and the likes, she has been teaching and exploring movements outside the brackets of "dance genres". Manisha believes dance is most honest when the core of movement is music in its truest form, and not dance style or skill set. Her classes besides focusing on technique, emphasise primarily on discovering ones own style and movements.

Hari Haran

Let your ideas do the dancing”-this is the motto of Mr. Hari haran. He kick started his dancing career by learning a classical dance form KATHAK, under the guidance of GURU Smt. ROOPA RAO at NATYA INSTITUTE OF KATHAK AND CHOREOGRAPHY.

He excelled in the field of kathak for five years and completed his exams for being a certified kathak dancer and choreographer. His passion for dance took him to London to pursue his dance career in few dance styles, namely JAZZ, BALLET, and CONTEMPORARY & MORDERN DANCE. He also attended jazz and contemporary workshops conducted by the task master Mac at PINEAPLLE DANCE STUDIO in London.

He is also trained extensively in contemporary form by Terrance lewis dance academy, TARANTISMO CREATIVE DANCE COMPANY and Jazz on HEELS by YANIS MARSHALL.

Veena Narasimhan

Veena graduated from Attakkalari in the year 2015 and has been training in Himalayan Yoga under the guidance of Grand Master Akshar since then. A certified instructor with Akshar Yoga, she is currently on her Level III training.

Mohith Thapa

Trained for 4 years at The Danceworx, New Delhi with the company (2011-2014) Styles trained in - jazz, contemporary, modern and ballet.

Currently associated with Thats Dance company, New Delhi as a regular jazz faculty. Have toured around few countries around the world as a performer in various musicals and shows with some of the best companies namely Nritarutya- Indian contemporary dance company, Natya Nectar, teamwork arts Pvt Ltd, RGV studios and That's Dance.
